Due to the expansion of the School we are looking to appoint the following:

SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST: Band 6 Equivalent: Full-time/part-time (minimum of 3 days).

The successful candidates will ideally demonstrate experience and understanding of working with children and young people with autism.  For all posts a commitment to our pupils and their complex needs is essential, as is the ability to work as part of a team.  You must be in good health as these are energetic, challenging posts.

SPECIAL NEEDS ASSISTANT (SNA):

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated Special Needs Assistant to join our friendly team. The role is largely term time, working Mondays 8.30am-5pm and Tuesdays to Fridays 8.30am to 3.30pm plus up to five days per year during school holidays. School holidays are paid.

The role is varied and will involve working in small classes, alongside the teacher supporting the planning, preparing and delivering of learning activities as well as monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting their achievements, progress and development. Duties include the support and management of pupils in lessons, at swimming, horse riding, playtimes, leisure and lunchtimes.

We are interested in hearing from candidates who have a passion for working with children with autism and making a real difference to both the lives of the children as well as their families. The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate experience and understanding of working with children and young people with autism. A commitment to our pupils and their complex needs is essential, as is the ability to work as part of a team. You must be in good health as this is an energetic, challenging post.

Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
